MTVKID is a Helsinki-based alternative rock band blending '90s guitar music, pop-punk energy, and hook-heavy songwriting. Their music combines distorted guitars, hard-hitting drums, big melodic choruses, and a healthy dose of sarcasm. Beneath the noise and humor, their songs explore vulnerability, insecurity, relationships, and the general absurdity of trying to hold everything together.

Formed in Helsinki by members from the USA, France, Russia, and Finland, MTVKID draws on the guitar-driven alternative and pop-rock of the '90s and early 2000s while writing songs firmly rooted in the present.

Their new EP, Far From It, arrives September 18, 2026, following a run of singles including "Fight Back," "CA$H," "I've Got Nothing to Say to Make You Stay," and "Yeah Yeah."

Far From It is a five-song EP about being far from home, far from where you want to be, and sometimes just far from having everything figured out.
